On this project, our team modelled the movements of 19-metre semi-trailer combinations (HRV) to confirm that service vehicles could safely enter, exit, and manoeuvre through the site across multiple access scenarios, including:
- Internal site circulation across seven warehouse tenancies
- Road frontage movements along Barclay Street
- Connection to the broader road network via Whitwood Road
These swept path assessments were carried out across three separate drawing sheets, each addressing a different area of the site, to provide Council and the client with a thorough, evidence-based demonstration that the design functions safely in real-world conditions.
By identifying potential conflicts early — before a single sod is turned — swept path analysis prevents design issues from becoming expensive construction problems.

Earthworks and Levels: Managing a Sloping Site
Industrial developments on sloping or constrained sites require careful earthworks planning to achieve safe, functional finished levels. Our earthworks layout for this project included:
- Detailed cut and fill mapping across the entire site
- Finished level contours for all warehouse and hardstand areas
- Retaining wall design coordination, including precast concrete block retaining walls
- A typical section through earthworks to guide construction
